A mom of two small children, Rebecca Finell was also juggling the completion of a degree in industrial design. As part of a class project, Rebecca found a way to tackle the mess of the toddler bath. Enter: the Frog Pod. Rebecca entered her creation in the JPMA Student Design Competition. She won the grand prize, and the idea of Boon was born.

The Frog Pod hit stores in October of 2005. Boon has since developed more than 100 modern infant and toddler products that are designed to help simplify the lives of busy parents while retaining their personal style. In its short history, Boon has shaken up the juvenile products industry, setting new standards for innovation and design.

Boon was acquired in 2011 by TOMY International, a leading global designer, producer, and marketer of a broad range of innovative, high-quality toys as well as nursery products.
