Greetings from Dyersville.

I finally have time to write this blog now that the National Farm Toy Show is over. It’s been a busy October and early November. Just a few weeks ago my granddaughter Lucy had her first birthday. She is so precious. You can’t see her shirt in this picture, but it had “Wild One” on it. I’m afraid she might cause her parents a few headaches when she gets a little older. It will be fun to watch!!


It was great talking to so many collectors at the National Farm Toy Show. I always enjoy answering questions and talking to people about our products. This year we had a board for visitors everyday to write where they are from! We had visitors from roughly 25 states. International visitors included Canada, Switzerland, Netherlands and Japan.

We were also able to post the new Ertl 2019 John Deere catalog on our website. Go to www.ertl.com and click on the “Catalog” section to check out all of our catalogs and flyers. We are now working on our 2019 Case IH and New Holland catalogs which should be out after the first of the year.

In the catalog you will notice a few new items that I’ll touch on below.

First is a newly tooled 1:64th Hagie STS16 with Nitrogen Toolbar. (Stock # 45661)


This toolbar is a first for Ertl. The Hagie STS16 features a 1,600 gallon tank and newly designed engine shroud. If you’re into sprayers, you’re going to really like this one. We also introduced a 1:64th John Deere 2510H Nutrient Applicator with dual anhydrous tanks. (Stock # 45558)


This is all new tooling and should be a great addition to our line. You will also see updates to our current 9R tractors in all scales as we revise the hoods to reflect the changes that John Deere has made to the real tractors. For those of you who like construction replicas, we’ve just announced a new 1:50th scale John Deere 544L Wheel Loader (Stock # 45702)and our first 1:50th Semi set.


This set includes a Freightliner 122 Semi tractor, with an XL Lowboy trailer and John Deere 1050K dozer. (Stock # 45635)


This set features muddy deco and is limited to 2,500 pieces. You will also find additional new items in the catalog that I’ll discuss in my next blog. (Along with another surprise!!) Switching scales, and colors, we also showed off the 1:64th Case IH 9380/9370 Authentics Tractor Assortment (Stock # 44150) which includes dusty chase units along with our 1:32nd Case Ih 9250 Combine. (Stock # 44164)






This awesome combine features a folding corn head, draper head, front duals, railings and all the detail you find on our “Prestige” combines.
